The assembly roller, also called an idler wheel, sits between the motor and the drum. It puts tension on the belt that spins the dryer drum. If the bearing on the assembly roller goes bad, it produces a squeaky noise inside the dryer. Thankfully, replacing the bad bearing is easy. Installation Tips

Unplug your dryer or turn off its circuit breaker before disassembly. You’ll need a Phillips screwdriver and a flathead screwdriver to complete the repair.
